Backpacking club uk?

I just wondered if any of the folk who use BCUK are also members of the uk backpacking club. They have access to some really good little farm sites all over the place. I have just joined so will see what its like they also have some good discounts organised with some of the different outdoor gear shops.

Just a thought.

I was an early member back in the seventies and they were a great bunch. It's not been possible to get away with others for me due to family commitments for some years, but I'm very tempted to rejoin.....

Some of the members have a club meet in Beverly the first Tuesday of every month according to the website Andy. Might be worth finding out what goes on.

lol unfortunatley the website seems rather out of date ref the meet in the pub!!! shame as they have good wheat beer in the pub they met at and its cheap.

Its certainley cheap enough to join and they have a beginners weekend planned for north yorks moors (lion inn blakey ridge) sometime in May if memory serves me right.

The Farm site directory looks like it could be useful. They do organise meets etc but as most of the folk on here are kindred spirits I thought people might like to know about it.

Its deffo getting more spring like and im loking forard to some nights out soon in the mountains and woods have missed stuff like this for a long while.

Incidentally how do you join BCUK as a full member?
