Im FINALLY back in the woods after a hiatus (my own fault really, lack of time, making excuses etc), and this time, fortunate enough to be joined by my son.
We didnt venture far, to the end of the farm, but it felt like a mile away.
I feel truly blessed my son has decided spending time in the woods with his old man is his new favourite hobby, so im going to capitalise on this as much as possible until im not cool enough!
Anyway, it was a day of rigging tarps, hammocks, some off-roading, cooking up breakfast, deer tracking (i'm hoping he wil be an avid hunter so we can go together), badger spotting, whittling, fire lighting, pine sap collecting, spring flower spotting ... well, you get the idea.
He is already asking if we can go back this weekend ... so, I have him his own little pack, tarp, hammock, mess kit, ferro rod etc.
