My knife workshop is full of Axmister stuff. Main grinder, Bandsaw, Milling machine, pillar drill... Had them since 2009, all made in China... never had an issue other than having to the replace the capaicitor on my grinder. £20 fix and 10 mins work. I rate them. Every knife i've made, and we're talking knocking on a thousand has been done by them. Wonder why they're struggling? Their stuff lasts and is capable of some proper graft.
Too cheap? Suppliers taking the mick? Failing sales? (cant see that) ... I'm a little perplexed.

They are offering some money off at the moment which finishes tonight.
No doubt to tempt people who were waiting for black Friday.
Me included!

Bummer it’s so far from most of us. I got to it once, the Nuneaton one twice and the High Wycombe branch maybe three times.

Still have their tool porn catalogue from 2015…and 2020….if I ever want to depress myself with evidence of inflation!
I've only been to their 'new' big Axminster shop once and their old highstreet shop a few times, back in the day of those fabulous 20mm thick A4 catalogues! I've got a couple of of Dick catalogues (from before they became Dictum) and they are a similar thick porn mag with such nice prices

The old D catalogues were superb!

I have a couple of their 40mm wide all steel chisels, had em so long and used them so much on old oak roofing timbers that I've mushroomed the striking ends the ground em off back again.

Axminster have an Ebay shop, I purchased there Axminster Workshop AW680RD Floor Radial Drill
last september, it turned up on a lorry on a pallet had to use a few skateboards to get it up the garden
path and into the house, postage was free, have since purchased cross vice, angle plates and all
