Arum berries NOT rosehip

I just received my copy of Bushcraft And Survival Skills magazine through the post and was very concerned to see that in the article I wrote on page 11 my photo of Arum maculatum berries has been mislabled as rosehip. This is a serious error. Unfortunately, although I send pictures in with correct ID, after that I can do nothing if it's wrongly labled in the edit . Of course, most people will know this is clearly not a rose hip. Be warned, the berries of A. maculatum contain high levels of oxalic acid crystals that can seriously irritate the mucous membranes leading to servere allergic reaction, they lso contain other toxic chemicals.

Indeed, the edit is worse than I thought. Were they drunk! The picture of Arum tuber and Acorn, Carrageen noodles is labled as Rum and acorn! Must try that!!
The photo of Reedmace rhizome bread on page 10 says: "right: two small Lords And Ladies tuber leaves." Firstly, there isn't any such picture, nor did I send any picture in and label it as such. Slapped wrists for you and more attention required please editors.
Such basic errors can lead to loss of confidence on the reliability of any information in the magazine. Better to double check with the writers of articles before printing than risk mistakes!

Wow - I suppose if you squint then Titum Arrum berries bear a passikng resemblence - but not really! So a very dodgy cut and paste error...

Not the first photo labelling error in that mag. Part of the reason I didn't renew my subscription. That and I find this site way better.

Thanks for this post guys i was planning to sign up to this magazine, but i think ill keep my money in my wallet now,is this magazine compiled by amateurs? or experienced bushcrafters? this is something that needs looking into nothing worse than bad advice but advice that can lead to serious injury or death is no laughing matter i think the people from the magazine should explain themselves here.
