Hi There,

I have a spirit stove that runs on meths, do you know anywhere in the uk you can by the spirit without the odor added, I got some in France a few years back ?

I like the review on the TiTri sidewinder but can not find it in the UK only in USA is this product available in the UK?

Too add meths is effected by the cold as is all liquid fuels pressurised or non it needs to be pre heated, at temps no colder than -5 you will be ok but as it gets colder it becomes more difficult to acquire the initial burn , or strike , heather burns very well wet or dry due to it`s oil content and the root also even in wet conditions, pull up the heather rub it and it is ready to go.the terminology "leave no trace" means, dig a small pit and after cover the used space with the same ground removed as all burners that touch the floor will leave a trace {scorching}. You need to test a stove for 1 year every day lit to confirm it`s validity tit ok every thing else well you test. To answer the question of non smelling meths in britain you need rubbing alcohol easy to find in any diy store especially which sell lamps
