Maybe a bit of a business deal I have a load of OG Ventile and black I am looking to trade materials for some work , i also have zips,Canadian slotted buttons and the tape for them.What i am after is a type of poncho made ,anybody interested?

Buy a sewing machine and learn yourself - I did (still learning, mind...)

Gotta say I planned and planned and planned to make an underquilt from a sleeping bag and then just jumped in and it all went well. Give it a go. It might not be perfect but things improve in time. Either that or get someone else to do it

They are as important to my bushcraft as my knife - I recomend you get one!
And a copy of my DIY bushcrafting book which includes lots of hints, tips and methods of sewing

Give it a go. I made my Ventile jacket on a basic cheap Singer. The jacket is going strong, the sewing machine is wheezing a bit, but still functional!

If you go wrong, unpick and do it again. Untreated cotton will just swell and the holes will disappear once it gets wet.
