If they were 'necessary' though, how come women don't have them too ?

Was reading that article earlier this morning and though about posting it up, beaten to other again. My thoughts were that if we filter our soup through them then they must have some medicinal properties. :D

My beard is good for my health. Like John, my wife would kill me if I shaved it off. Or at least divorce me, which would make me sad and depressed.
