Here and there
I got a second hand tent, a great tent but dirt cheap because the groundsheet isn't fully waterproof. It was used for a while on stoney ground, and in places there are micro holes. Can't see them, but the grounsheet become damp if on damp ground. I know I could just take some plastic sheeting, but is there any way of reproofing a groundsheet?

Mine did the same thing :(
I started a thread here on the topic and got lots of good advice, but in the end, the groundsheet was dead. The only way to fix it (I'm presuming it's the same woven plastic that's been heat and pressure bonded) is to cut it out and replace it using one of the tarps from lidl or places like Halfords. (about £6 or £7)

I did a kind of *it'll do* repair using a cut open garden bench cover from the poundstore as a liner. I tried it underneath and it worked so long as everything stayed dry, but it was actually better laid inside under my mat and bags.

Sorry to sound so negative :sigh: I'll see if I can find the other thread and give a link.

cheers,
Toddy
