I have cut the bottom ring out of mine so I can use a Trangia stove with it. It works really well. The only problem is with flare ups when heating the water in the flask.
Anyone else use one? What have you used it for? It it lighter than the Swedish trangia stove Kits (I think) but it is limited to soups or liquids.
I keep the flask full of water while cooking and insert it into the handle on the chimney while cooking. Keeps it from tipping over.
I also cut two metal strips to fit over the top of the chimney in an "X" pattern to hold larger cooking pots.
