Anyone ever done a week long (or longer) bushcraft trip?

I fancy doing a week long trip where I rely on bushcraft skills and equipment rather than backpacking skills and equipment. I appreciate that there are difficulties associated with using open fires etc.
Are there any such trip reports on BCUK? I've found plenty of reports on weekend static camps but week long trip reports are a bit thin on the ground...

How are you differentiating backpacking skills from bushcraft skills?

.

I hope to travel with a simple tarp instead of a tent, cook on an open fire, use primitive fire lighting skills etc. If possible I'd like to do without a kipmat and sleeping bag too, perhaps just using a animal skin. I'd try not to carry any newfangled nylon kit. instead I'd try to use old school kit.

I do this kind of hikes all the time..... in my day dreams.
But your'e right Imagedude, there are not to many trip reports of this kind around. Would really like to se more of it, both my own trips and others.
