Had some antler pieces left after making up some keyrings for a mate. Used the large bit as a bearing block for a bowdrill spindle and the smaller bits for some more keyrings.

they are lovely :)

I found a roe deer antler washed up on the beach this winter, that's just asking to made into something like this :)

How'd you get the grey color?

That was just the natural colour of the antler mate.
To answer the previous questions ...I used a 10mm drill to start the hole and finished it off with a knife making sure to leave a good shoulder for the spindle . If you go too far yes the spindle will eat into the softer and pourous inner.
