Have you ever checked out vintage pencil sharpeners? They're also amazing in their variety and intricacy The guy must get through box loads of pencils demontrating them

And then somebody came up with a small metal block with a blade in it

I hadn't realised pencil sharpening could be so over engineered though I liked the ones with the handle at school mounted on the teachers desk.
