Hi all,
I recently got interested again in bushcraft and I think I have stumbled on a top forum here! I have been lurking for a few weeks - well I did make one post - and everyone seems really friendly Which makes a change for the internet!
I live in southport and as a child I used to mess around on our ample sand dunes, usually dressed head to toe in jungle dpm with my hexy burner and a few cans of heinz baked beans. After reading my copy of the SAS survival handbook by Lofty of course! This tended to attract attention from dog walkers and once resulted in the police being called (another story).
Well, I am looking for a bushcraft course at the moment. If anyone has any recommendations? Something with weekend course progressions would be good? I will probably also take a course at plas-y-brenin mountain centre in navigation since I am getting back into hill walking and struggle with a compass.
I hope to contribute peeps. Not to give you all a big head but you have a good forum going here!
Cheers,
Neil.
