An afternoon on the water

My son greg and I took our canoe out for a paddle this afternoon , got a little colder and choppier later on but a nice day to be out all the same . We were really just getting some practice in as its been a few weeks since we were last afloat .

An afternoon on the water around here means standing on ice. I have canoe envy.

Looks lovely, I must make an effort this year to get upto D & G for a paddle. Considering that I work at Chapelcross it shouldn't be too difficult.
Looking at your third pic down I thought you were on Thirlmere.
