Ok I'm looking to go lighter than my issue bivvy bag.
My two options are the Snugpak SF bivvy or the Alpkit Hunka.
Now my worry is how well made are they and how resilient to wear.
I am favouring to Snugpak due to the zip access(will be covered by a tarp) so the zip won't get wet.

Would love to know know your thoughts on either bivvy.

Thanks
johnny.

Maybe not but the specifications are more than adequate for my needs.
My question is how resilient are they to wear and tear.

should you go decide on the hunka, several people strongly recommend the hunka xl over the hunka. the standard hunka seems to be rather narrow ...

I use the regular Hunka in Summer. Breathability and waterproofness are excellent and it's plenty durable - although you don't say how you use it. It's not as indestructible as the British Army Goretex I use in Winter, but it is a lot lighter and more compact. Never used or saw the SnugPak, so can't compare.

I'm 5'6" and slim, and the regular Hunka is fine for me, but I wouldn't want it any smaller. In Winter I'd be concerned it would compress the bulkier down bag. If you're any bigger than me, definitely go for the XL.
