What can you see when you click that link ? I've just read that he has taken his site down because he was getting too many enquiries, and he would like to clear his backlog of orders.

Still says "Click pictures to enter site" with a warning that orders will not be accepted until backlog is cleared. May take a while for all ISPs to catch up though.

Good to read that update. I bought an F1 to make the wait for my bushcrafter more bearable and I'm still almost incontinent with anticipation!

If anybody's seen the latest in the Allen Blade saga on BB:

http://www.britishblades.com/forums/showthread.php?p=189594#post189594

it's obvious the bloke's in a bit of trouble. I reckon he deserves support. I was thinking of getting one of his standard models anyway, so if anyone here has one on order and is no longer prepared to wait for it, I'll buy it off you at the original price and get it when I get it. PM me if this applies. This is a genuine offer and I don't mean to offend anyone.

Later edit: I should have said I'm interested in the standard Bushcrafter with a scandi grind. Also, I've tried that web-site again and it still seems to work partially, at least for the bushcrafter and e-mail.

As you can see from the Link I have taken on Snufkins order snd I will be selling it when it arrives, however, I intend to sell it for more than Allan charged and use that money to help Allan out.

The Bushcrafter was still working out at less than £60 and that is so cheap as to be silly. I have emailed Allan often about his pricing, he really needs to start charging what his knifes are worth.

As to those who complain about the wait, it is the risk you take for ordering a knife that you know is such good value. We all say that we can't believe that Allan can sell his knifes so cheap and still make a profit so we can hardly be surprised when we find out he can't and has had to take on a day job.

It reminds me of a quote from someone on BB. When asked what they would do if the won the lottery. There reply was "I would become a full time knife maker"

That is insanely cheap for a quality handmade knife! No wonder the poor chap's strapped...

Here's an update from Alan, well Alans lovely wife to be precise!

This is Allans wife, Cori, could you let his friends and customers know that for the past two weeks he has had a Bad case of pneumonia and hasnt been in the shop, he had to get IV antibiotics for a day last week and then was put on them by mouth,, he has no voice today , larangitus, and hopefully will be back in his shop this comming week,,, he is just concerned people will think he isnt doing work for them . The doctor put him on bed rest for two weeks because it was severe enough of a case that he had. It was either that or be admitted to the hospital.

We all hope that Alan gets better soon, it's never nice being under the weather :(
