Hi, just getting back into all this after many years filling my time with other stuff. Really interested in making my own knives, starting with a kit (Enzo Necker or Elver I think). Never tried this before, and have limited wood/metalworking experience. What indeed to know is how difficult is this? Also, recommendations for a beginner's toolkit for making and recommendations for specific items.
One particular question though, when (kit) assembled, ready to shape handle, what/how do you shape bolts? File them away and then file/ sand handle around them? Basic I'm sure, but intriguing for me. Thanks.
