Here are some photos of our recent staff Climbing trip to the French Alps.
Although this was not specifically a Bushcraft mission we still had plenty of opportunities to hone our skills. Its amazing how often the little tricks we learn in the Woods can come in useful in the most unusual situations.
The first picture is of Chris diverting a thin trickle of melt water into his waterbottle. This handy trick saved us the fuel and hastle of melting snow.
On another occasion we spent an afternoon snacking on Pignuts when we decided to continue climbing longer than expected. They may be a pain to collect but its worth the effort when you unearth a beauty like this one.
No we didn't eat the marmots! But these cheeky chappies aint camera shy.
Steve and Liam making themselves at home on the edge of the Glacier before our ascent of the Dome des Ecrins.
The Summit Shot.
All in all we had 9 days of near perfect weather
. Can't wait for the next mountain Trip.
