Ive got family in Edmonton. I toured there for 2 months once, going round the rockies etc. I keep meaning to go out there and visit them more!!

This is just at the back of the banff fairmont hotel(you know, the big one on the lake in all the tourism bumf). Behind me are about 4 coach loads of japaneese tourists, manic!

Just entering Jasper national park. I'd move there tommorow

The worlds largest t-rex in Drumheller, am just by it's left toe

At last, the origin of our good friend HooDoo's name. Rock pillars of the same name

Dinasaur park, a beautiful canyon in the midst of the praries, home to some amazing prehistoric discoveries

Back in the Kananaskis. When we got back, was watching last of the dogmen on tv and realised that it was all filmed round here and not Montana

And finally, another beautiful view.

Lovely pics mate, I spent a bit of time in Alberta a few years ago. I know someone who lives in Jasper and he took me to the park and to the Schweitzer (sp) park as well. Oh and I'm not jealous, MUCH

Great to see some lovely pics this morning of somewhere I last backpacked in 1982! Sorry to here Jasper is getting busy but isn't it like that everywhere accessible? I am basing my 'bush campsite' in the UK on some memories of the great camping grounds they had there...we've even got, amongst our native trees, Douglas fir and Western Hemlock from that part of the world! PCD

marvellous pics m8, funnily enough i read this post just after the wife opened a large brown envelope containing assesment and application forms to work in Alberta(west ) as a midwife, looks like a tough choice between there and B.C. for us
