Air rifle postage help needed

I've just done a trade with another member and am now wondering how to post my (his) Webley Vulcan to him. How to pack it; do I remove the tele sight? do I need to take it apart to any extent? is there a limit on parcel length with R.M.?..................

Anyone done this before? Any advice/help gratefully received, thanks and atb mac

I just posted mine for some work on it. I found a nice large tube padded with old towels worked really well.
If you need to shorten the length remove the action from the stock. I would remove the scope and make sure that is very well padded.

Don't mention in the post office that it is an air rifle, I think guns of any description is on the restricted item list.

I was wrong, looks like airguns are allowed.

I sent mine via Interparcel.com and listed it as motorcycle parts. Naughty but worked.
