Thanks for those thoughts, my numerous charity shop books on carpentry don't cover bowl adze. Although I've a couple on Green wood working come to think of it that may do.
Just de rusting the bolts and mildly rusty bits on the Myford lathe, no pitting just stored in a garage for ten years without being cos-mo'd.
