A while ago I decided to get rid of a few of my backpacks and standardise on an early surplus pack so bought a British Army long back bergen. Loads of space to be honest bit I was intrigued with the idea of getting the side pouches and yoke so I can unzip them off the Bergen when I have set up camp and use then as a day pack. Pouches arrived Yesterday and I must say that everything goes together quickly and easily and I would totally recommend this to anyone in similar situation

First aid kit. It's actually a very well designed pouch as once you unzip it all of the contents are in another grab pouch which is velcroed in so U can pull on the handle and pull it completely out of the pouch

Nice one great idea, is it purchased or hand made ?

Just got it a few days ago so haven't had a chance to go through it fully but it was a steal for £20

I will be carrying that first aid kit (after I add to it) in addition to a more complete general kit in my Bergen whenever I go camping. Can never be TOO prepared I always say!

Always a pleasure to help a fellow bushcrafter.

I know a lot of people don't like to use camouflage gear but it IS well put together and tried and tested and simply doesn't fail as quickly as civvi gear.

Any difference between your bergan and the dpm plce bergans? Other than colour obviously.

Not that I am aware of. It’s like the bloody tardis to be honest, I keep putting kit into it and it swallows it and still has more and more space! Very comfortable to carry as well.
