adapted leather pouch/sheath

I impulse bought a leather pouch from Johnsons in leeds a while ago for a few quid. I found I couldn't use it as the closing flap was so long that anything fell out. So I made a few simple tweaks to give my SAK a new home. Thought I'd share the results. Any ideas about what was in the pouch originally?

nice that mate i go thair alot i just live up the road the box you got that from.is full of them and different ones the pouches ar old cs gass and mase spray pouches mate the realy good qualaty .is that any help mate

That sounds right, thanks! It was the quality that made me bag one, I thought I must be able to find a use for it - and finally did.
