Hi everyone,

In the last DD hammock prize draw on fb I was the lucky enough to win a DD camping hammock

http://www.ddhammocks.com/products/hammocks/camping-hammock

to go with the DD pack that I got in the group buy earlier in the year

http://www.ddhammocks.com/products/rucksacks/pack-full

Now some of the reason im posting this is to brag just a little about my good luck, but mostly as I have never spent a night in a hammock so what is the best way to set up/what modifications should I look at making before I try them out hopfully next weekend?

Cheers

Shaun

Check out Will's tutorial for a bomb proof and simple setup once you've mastered a couple of knots/hitches ...

http://www.bushblade.co.uk/

You just need 10m of climbing tape and a couple of karabiners and you're good to go.

Well done on the comp too, that's one good reason to use FaceAche I suppose :)

If you want to get seriuos about hammocing then there is no better site than http://www.hammockforums.net/

Be warned though, it takes you into a whole new world of toys... A few weeks after joining and you will be wanting underbankets, whoopie slings, SilNylon tarps etc... Good fun.
