A stormy ole night

Hi all

I popped out yesterday afternoon to test out a new mountain tent that I recently purchased . It turned out to be quite a test as a storm blew in with thunder lightning and hail the size of marbles. Was a noisy but pleasant evening .
Thought I would share a few photos

I was just under the treeline at about 1600 metres. I did want to go a bit higher but after looking at the weather report I chickened out and yes quite a few midges were out and about as well

Looks like the Hillberg Allak.

Its the Hilleberg soulo one man tent and I was was in the northern part of the alps on the German-Austria border

Thanks man its been on my wish list for a long time, now I am back at work the missus finally consented (although I still had to sell my hammock to help fund it)

Haha I had to do the obligatory staged knife and food photo it is a great spot and I love spending time there
