A question about filing edges.

So, i'm about to start making a knife, after I ruined my first attempt during heat treating. I tried a scandinavian grind on my first one, but I want to attempt a full flat grind. I was wondering about how I would go about doing so and any tips in general would be appreciated.

I'd make a simple filing jig. Use the search function. There is plenty of info on making one.
