As my foot is on the mend after my stupid accident I was itching to get out for a night. I asked Phaestos (Matt) if he fancied a little one nighter on Friday, he jumped at the chance so off we went. We knew it had been snowing but didnt expect upto a foot of snow everywhere. Here are a few pics. The temperature dropped to -5 so I got to test my TQ and UQ which performed fantastically well.

Bilbank bag doing its thing, awesome bit of kit. Although next time I'll make sure it is properly soaked as it was a little slow.

My setup, there was no wind at all so the side tie outs weren't needed.

The hammock chairs I knocked up a few days ago. They were fantastic, pure luxury in the woods.

Well done to brave the snow and get out there. I have not been out for 3 weeks now, and feeling the cabin fever. Been snowing every day and it's meter thick fluff in the forest so I simply think I am not in the shape to battle that to get far enough out to not be seen from the roads.

Well ,well, it's bound to stop, and it's late in the eyar. So it will melt in daytime, ad freeze at night, making it possible to ski on top of it early in the morning and I will make my April campout will be secured. Meanwhile I'll just enjoy your pictures :)

Those chairs look great. Has anyone tried using rope instead of wood? I.e. instead of the front crossbeam try tying a rope between two close trees and then the back top end of the chair tie up into a branch? Just a though as I like the idea of minimal effort in creating a comfy packable seat.
