Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
Our dog started barking while we were eating breakfast. We looked out the window, and there was a young cow moose. Soaking wet, must have just come out of the lake. By the time I found the camera, she'd wandered off.
Sounds fantastic. Only wish we had things like that happen here. The most excitement I get in the back garden is next doors moggy visiting to use my outdoor loo( aka swmbos herb garden). Then the dogs see the cat and all hell breaks loose for about 5 mins. Still makes me smile!!
I`ve had mooses passing my house a couple of times. Not that unusual here, but fun anyway. It is not every day one have the pleasure seeing them in the city.
I have a pic in the gallery section with 3 of them walking by in march last year.
But they are less fun when they settle in the garden and pretend to be the owner. It has happened to one of guy I work with. The moose became a tad agressive and had to be forced out. There has even been occations when the only solution was to put them down.
