I took advantage of the weather a short while ago and spent my first night in a hammock. I had a lovely evening and slept really well, waking up to birdsong at dawn. It was a much needed break from the 9 to 5

Well spotted, it's the 2 day pack I think. I am trying to love it but it just isn't hitting the spot yet

I like the look of them and the split zip appeals but the cost is heart stopping!

It is really nice to use and luckily I got a good deal on it but I know what you mean!

I do like a hammock, haven’t been out with mine for ages, I must try and grab a night like you did. Did you tarp it?

Also, was wondering what the mat is in the hammock?

The mat is off AliExpress, was about £20 when I bought it https://a.aliexpress.com/_mP1m0uE

I have had 2 nights so far with it and I like it, not sure how well it will work when it's cold but I am happy so far.

I went with a mossie net and no tarp, but kept it clipped to the ridge line so I could pull it over if it started raining in the night.
