A post on BB reminded me of a sad discovery I made. I thought you may also be interested in what happened.
I was out on a three-day trip in an area of woodland near Loch Lomond. I had set up camp well away from the paths and had got pretty well settled in. In the evening as I sat by the fire there was a glint of something from up in a nearby tree. It was the light from the fire reflecting on something metallic.
I dug out the torch and went to investigate. I was horrified to find a complete human skeleton up the tree. The metallic item was a medallion round the neck which was inscribed with "Archie MacDonald World Hide & Seek Champion 1963"
