Oh - they look good!
I have made a couple of baskets (mainly using brambles and a bit of willow) but I aint posting pictures!
Mine work OK but do NOT look too good :)
I have some willow from my own trees awaiting my next attemps.....
Any chance of a tutorial on your techniques? That triple rail looks supurb!

I love the fruit basket and I really like the design of the mushroom basket.

I really want to have a go at basketry someday.

LOL, there's a fair few of mine not making it to photos - especially those made from materials I've forage myself - rattan is a gentle pussycat compare to the rottweiler of willow you've coppiced yourself.

As for tutorial, maybe when I have time - am a trainee teacher, and shouldn't even be on the forum. To be honest, all the techniques I use I get from a single book - Contemporary Wicker Basketry by Flo Hoppe.

"all basic stuff" righto, I believe you!;)

The only bit that looks basic to me, is the lashing!:)

you should have a go at some willow, elm bark or honeysuckle cordage, to replace the white nylon;)

very nice work indeed, well done:cool:

R.B.

LOL I plan to have a go at cordage some time this year, so hopefully that white nylon can be consigned to the recycle bin.

The mushroom basket will be great for my allotment veg collecting. As you are down the road from me when can I come and collect it LOL...

Very tidy work indeed.

Lovely designs too.

Only done a couple of days making a simple willow basket & it was tough going - I loved the process & leaned a lot but the results were pretty only to me, lol. Something I'd love to do more of.

Nice to see some well made examples.

PS: Some nice natural cordage would be great - I'm sure you'll get it down pretty quickly.
