Maybe not, but on ebay now, get an old kettle, mention Aga in the description and wack the price up to £70

Looks very much like the Kirtley kettle but cheaper. They're made in South Africa and are aluminium as you suggest

Very nice seller, he will charge you ten dollars postage IIRC so about £17 delivered, took about a week to arrive and holds 4.73 litres so about a gallon in old money.

Well, it's arrived. Pretty sure it is stainless steel. Chinese made, not terribly high quality but certainly big - looks larger than 5 litres but might be wrong.

According to my measuring jug it's just over 7 litres so should be good enough for the group! Not as good quality as the Zebra kettle and doesn't whistle either but for the price it's OK

That's the same as mine Spanders. I was walking past a book fair when a stall holder came to me and insisted I buy the kettle from him for 10p. We settled on 2p and I thought it was a fair price.

I've just been buying bits and bobs this last couple of weeks, I did buy another 111T and two hurricane lanterns, drum of methanol, 12x500g cans of gas, mantles, two micro gas lanterns (those are for my daughter), http://www.allmusic.com/album/the-capitol-recordings-mw0000627332 (got it today).......Oh yea, another tent and she's blooming psychic or something she turns up just as I get hold of something and before its stashed out of sight

I got my hands on mine today as it was delivered to work at the weekend. Despite the assurances I was given by the seller (and the warehouse staff where I work!) it ilook like Ali to me and not SS, but it's still a good price.
