Is the DD website down at the moment? I've just got the OK to buy 10 hammocks and tarps for the scouts and I wanted to ask about buying in bulk rather than swamp out this GB.

You can swamp the GB if you wish

I've also let Nick know the site is down. I don't think he was aware of that. So thanks for putting that up on here as well

Hi,
Penny has come back to me so I will be ordering direct, including the bits I want, so it does mean that the next in line can get the top quilt I'd bagsied. Thanks for organising this though.

I am going to be far too tempted to join this one :(
Thoughts on the travel being more suited to the UK due to the waterproof bottom over the frontline?
Just means the frontline couldn't be used as a bivy/ground setup surely?

Travel waterproof bottom can have condensation problems according to some reports. If you're likely to bivvy a lot, get the travel, otherwise get a bivvy bag and a front line?

Not purposely camped anywhere with a hammock that doesn't have trees either. If I do, I take a tent. I don't tend to hike with a hammock though.

If you have plans to use the hammock on the ground, then yes I would go for the travel. If not go for the frontline.

+1 on that one. From my experience and from what I have also heard from others it is better to be comfy with a breathable Frontline and to use a ground sheet underneath if used on the floor sometimes. The British Army moznets are also great for floor dwelling. The latest issue is an excellent self-supporting dome design, the previous one a cheaper hung style. They look like the following but I don't pay that much for them! ;)

From personal experience I'd highly recommend the underquilt, advisable even for a British Summer. An unzipped Mummy bag works well as a top quilt.

Hi All,

Ok guys there is a slight difference in the way we are doing the group buy this year.

As each year DD get more and more new items the list could go on forever.

So to save time unless you already know what would like. May I ask you good people to look at the DD Hammocks Website to see what takes your fancy.

www.ddhammocks.com

(But there is a list at the bottom of this post. Because I wrote one up during my emails with Nick, so ithought I might as well use it)

Almost everything with 'DD' on it is in the group buy.
But none of the other branded items such as Kelly kettles and Backpacking light's Honey stove etc etc, are in the GB So don't bother asking as the answer no can often offend :)

Ok so the 'DD' own brand products that cost £20 and over will have a discount of 20% off web prices.

But if the total order is under £20 and then its only going to be 10% off. This is because of the price of postage.

Also on multiple orders that items cost over £25 each there will a discount of £2 off each item.
This is a saving in postage. So the more you buy the more you save, so to speak :)

Unfortunately there is some shortages in stock like the Quilts which I have already mentioned and Nick can't guarantee that he will have another delivery before the end of the GB but put your orders down just in case you get lucky

Also this goes for the Rucksacks also due to shortages. Unfortunately due to this the DD combo pack is also off the list sorry.

And the lightweight hammock combo isn't in the GB because the price is already discounted

Enough of the bad news what is also included is the XL Frontline hammock which was only put up on the website yesterday, also with 20% off

Ok Folks so if you would like something please add your name to the list then PM me you real name and address please. So I can get the list ready for DD.
I will PM you paynent details and amounts as soon as I get them from DD

So how does this look in black and white the list below has some of the most popular items from previous GB's plus some extra items.
