I always like to have two rain breaks in my suspension. A drip line (paracord) and then a steel, alu, ti something or other below that

Dewi, if you are using webbing have you thought about dutch cinch buckles? A rain break and adjuster in one

I've just looked them up... yeah, I'll give those a go thank you Where is the best place to get hold of them?

What I do need to do this year is get a bigger tarp... have a DD 3x3 and particularly in winter, I'm getting rain (and snow) coming in through the sides. Its not that much, but just enough to keep waking me up. I reckon a 4x4 will solve the problem and its no sort of increase in weight.
