I decided to go with 2 items.. the trusty lighter and food. I know food and water was 1 item, but i decided not to take water and see if i could provide my own.
The food i took: 5 bread, 2 bacon, 2 sausages, pasta and snack bars.
Also had some plasters and my phone to take the pictures.
I set out late friday night as i got carried away online shopping- it was dark, raining so i decided to head towards a bridge for the night instead of building a lean-to like i planned to- as i arrived at the bridge the thunder and lightening started and i was glad i opted for the bridge!
Fell asleep late, had a nice nights sleep and woke early for a wonder.
Woke up the next morning and decided to re-walk my walk into camp so i could add pictures...

I removed the tops off the cans so it would be easier to cook/boil in them

Water bottles- was planning to make a minnow trap out of the largest bottle but i had enough food to last me.

Got a broken peice of glass to be used as my blade for the time being

Next i dug a firepit and collected dry wood and tinder..

Then i boiled the water in the cans and colled it off in the stream, and transferred it into the bottles.

I then tidied up this place, cover the fire pit ect and walked into the woods.
I picked up wood on my way and came accross an old fire pit so i started my fire there..

I then made a frying pan out of an old beer can
opening the can up i used the glass

Batteries died on the phone but i ate the pasta, boiled some water for the walk home, went back to the bridge, cleaned with the wetwipes and slept like a baby:)

Woke up sunday morning, made myself a sausage sandwhich and headed home :)

I had a very nice time out and it was nice not to have the weight of my pack everywhere i went... thanks for the challenge

In britain they say your never more than 7 miles from a road, so wherever you are there is more like rubbish- sadly, but it does come in handy as i learnt :)

Slept in what i was wearing.. base layer- waterproof trousers a t-shirt and hooded fleece with my hat, only wore the base layer, waterproof trousers and t shirt in the day so before i went to sleep i would feel the difference of the hat and fleece :)

mate i take my hat of to you, don't no if i could have done the challenge with so little, but i suppose if i had to, then i would, i think people would be surprised at what us humans will do, when the will to survive kicks in.
great pics.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words :)

I recommend going out with minimal kit for a night or two to everyone, you see things from a different perspective and learn alot :D
