Not sure what a Lipton side dish is, but you can cook comfortably for one person with a good appetite, one grown up and a child easily, two adults would need to fight over the food but it would still be enough! They are a good solo pot IMO, giving you flexibility to make a large stew of sorts and have it for two meals perhaps, just leave it high over the fire to keep it warm and it will be good for later. As for how much water you can boil, fill it up. It'll boil eventually!
12cm Zebra Billy has approx 1.5ltr capacity though i think 1.25ltr is a more realistic 'real world' amount. As the great Spam said, 1.5 people comfortably, 2 people means that your going to get the thin end of the wedge while the Mrs get's a BIG cup of tea!
It is 12cm by 12cm in a cylinder so the volume is pi* 6cm squared*12cm givining a volume in cubic cm of 1357 (ish). Leaving a quarter of the billy for headspace indicates a itre of water can be accomodated (or a quart to the colonials )
Just bunged a litre in mine and theres room to spare so the maths are okay.
