100 Wild huts update

Been following this project since it was posted about here sometime ago. Thought this one ,No14 , would be a good one to use as an update.

How can one night out give you any idea of a shelters usefulness? Nice idea and good effort but very limited in useful results.

It will obviously add to the sum total of knowledge that he will accumulate in building so many shelters.
I presume the main motivation for it is fun ; in which case I endorse it's value wholeheartedly.

14 is great, used one like this a few years back, 3 people was cosy and warm in temperatures around 0 C. Really good blog, thanks.

Never tried only a 3 way shelter before only ever a lean-too and then a larger 50p shape. The larger shelter was great for winter and would easily sleep three or four with a little more cover. We even made a fold up door which sealed the place in and made it very toasty. Spent snow covered days and nights in that the shelter and was always dry and very warm, too warm at points.
