Don't use a knife in your right hand of you are left handed

Because you will need stitches. I was sitting happily carving in my wood today by the fire when for some unknown reason I swapped my lovely Ben Orford carving knife into my right hand and about 3 cuts in I slipped and took it straight down to the bone on my left index finger. 1 mile walk...

Just a quick note of thanks

To our very own 'wounded soldier' Rancid Badger for my AMAZING new belt. I went up to pick it up off him today, we put the world to rights on all things woodlands and I got a good laugh at his expense at his ability to give a thumbs up all the time!! [sorry bud] But seriously this guy...

I have just been given a frosts spoon knife - how to improve on it

A friend of mine has just returned from holiday with a frosts 164 spoon knife for me as a present. In its current state [out of the box] it is completely blunt. I have come to be used to my moras arriving sharp and ready to go, but this thing just seems somehow unfinished. Is this normal...

    I quite fancy a Leuku

Quite a simple query really, if I wanted to get myself a Leuku to try out, would I be looking to shell out on a custom maker or can I pick up a mass produced version a bit cheaper?

Decided to go out for a wander and a brew today

Day off work today meant I was inevitably going to put my boots and wax jacket on and go wandering around the woods. I ended up making myself a cup of pine tea and watching a couple of roe wandering about the woods just below me. Lovely afternoon indeed, if a bit chilly. Have a few...

Belt sheath for GB wildlife hatchet

Hello guys I was wondering if there is anyone who knows where I can get myself a sheath made for the above axe. What I want is something with 1 or 2 belt loops on the back that I can have on my belt to hang the axe from, so that it is more secure than with the supplied cover. Many thanks
