    Haha yeh I always get asked if I'm from the nearby Army Foundation College. I often look up to see a startled face as I trunch past with my kit.

    I used to have the Viper South African Assualt Vest but sold it to buy plce yoke webbing as it is alot more comfy to wear with a rucksack and you can actually reach all the pouches with dislocating your shoulder lol.

    What to buy

    I agree, I'm on a very low budget and I find that army surplus is dirt cheap and extremely durable and tough-also great for not being seen lol. I use the yoke system on large expeditions to keep things that I need at hand close to my body. It cost less that £15 all together and it's great!

    I think its 83 degress celsius or something. Dont quote me on it but I'm a kitchen assistant and thats what I have to re-heat all foods back up to to be served. Stu.

    Managed to get out and was snowing quite heavily at some points. Very difficult to light my fire and it kept on going out. But a good experience all the same. . . Quite new to bushcraft so tips and comments on camp set-up well appreciated.
