I work for Royal Mail and when I was on deliveries in the deep snow my feet would be ice cold and soaking if i just wore normal socks.
I bought some merino wool socks and the difference was unreal. Even when soaking my feet were still pretty warm in the snow.
Glad im not out in alll...

It's just near Beamish about 30 mins walk from my house. I see deer there too. Lovely walk and woods.
I was just sat under a tree and saw some leaves moving. Whatever it was never broke the surface...
Great stuff. went out with my nephew the other day and he loved spotting squirrels and we even saw loads of deer. Although they were not really wild. They were in Methley deer park ha ha

I have this, very warm only need a base layer or t shirt underneath, had to unzip it yesterday while walking. Temp was around 2 degrees puddles were still frozen. You can also take out the button in quilted liner
went for another brief walk on the ouseburn ramble yesterday, saw this big horse shoe fungus?? and I startled what i think was a roe deer out of the bracken. didn't realise how close i was to a great walk. Weather permitting i might make a day of it later in the week and take some...
