Just a little project for the kids.
The cutlery came with a rubbishy plastic pouch.
Stamped the initials, then cut the cuffs of an old shirt, that had the sleeves cut down due to elbow holes.
Initial sewn on the top. Some sewing jiggery pokery to get the pop pop studs in the right place...
I used a 24" bahco blade from B&Q. £3.80
They do two different bahco blades at 24", 1 tooth pattern for green wood and 1 tooth pattern for dry wood.
The wood was picked up from a local forest floor. The ropes are gardener twine. The two bolts to hold the bade were from my screw jars.
I cut...
It's Gransfors Bruks Wildlife Hatchet.
Gotta say this is such a good tool.
And the knife is Mora clipper.
Now I need a burner in my garden to get rid of all the shavings.
Went to the Bushcraft shop in enfield as recommended. Really nice chaps.
Bought myself some tools, picked up some wood from the local forest floor.
Ok it's not great, need a crook knife to hollow out the bowl, but it'll do for stirring.
My holiday project this year was making a Greenland paddle.

Which I really enjoyed doing, there is the whole process shown in that album.
And while browsing the internet I ended up watching this video of Ray...
I would like to give spoon and bowl carving a go.
What tools do you recommend.
1. Budget
2. Good
3. Don't get better than these.
What do I need ? 1 small knife and a crook knife ? Anything else.
