    Paracord Identity

This is a good resource for current colours. Sadly mines not amongst them as far as I can tell. https://www.paracordplanet.com/cord-color-chart/

Anyone recognise this pattern, I’ve forgotten the name of it and a reverse image search hasn’t shown anything.

    Recommend me a power station

It’s just for emergencies. Mainly lighting and some other low power items like device charging. I’m not intending to run any appliances except maybe the boiler and that’s only about 100w and only needs to run for about 15 mins to warm the house. The battery could probably be kept indoors if I...

    Recommend me a power station

I’m not expecting it to get a lot of use so I’m not interested in spending the kind of money for a Lipo4 battery. I also won’t be running much so a 1000W inverter is more than enough. Any suggestions where to get more info on choosing a battery and setting it up? Would a SMF or Gel battery...

    Recommend me a power station

I’m also thinking of a battery backup in case the lights go out this winter. So far I’m thinking of a 120ah deep cycle AGM battery and a 1000w pure sine wave inverter. I already have a charger for the battery. Some kind of battery monitor would be handy but I don’t know what to look for or...

    Small travel bag suggestions

If you want something small these are nice, I’ve got one. It’s available in a few colours including Black. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tactical-Medical-Attachment-Waterproof-Wynex/dp/B076VBX63H Price isn’t bad either for a bag this size. The Molle straps on the back are removable if required as...

    What type of Leather?

This one looks nice and the leather looks a bit thicker than 1mm?

    What type of Leather?

I’m guessing something soft then and about 2mm thick?

    What type of Leather?

Not strictly bushcraft I suppose but the answer may help others with similar leather projects? I want to make a wrist strap for my camera and wondered what type and thickness leather would be best? It obviously has to hold the weight of the camera. TIA...

    Universal Basic Income

As many jobs in the future are replaced with automation something needs to replace lost income. I’m broadly in favour of it but I’m not sure just giving the unemployed money is a good idea. I think instead that the basics should be provided, such as housing, food and transport. Above and beyond...

Not been on here myself for ages, in fact I wasn't even sure I was a member until I managed to guess my login! Must be a few long serving BB'ers tearing their hair out at not being able to get their Fix! :)

    mora 120 woodcarver any good?

The 120 is one of the nicest knives I've got, holds an edge really well and is great to use. And you can't argue with the value for money. I'll be getting another at the bushcraft show.

    Advice on Fiskars axes

Same here, mine was very sharp when I got it and still has a good edge. Balance and grip is not the best but for the size/type/price it's been a winner for me. I do have several others though so don't need to depend on it alone.
