Meh… the old nonsense of “cotton kills” is (imho) a load of baloney. I think it comes from the days when cotton was used in 90% of the garments one wore. I always wear a decent cotton t-shirt as a base layer and have never had any issues when it gets wet. Unless you’re in a cold, wet environment...

Anyone here like tinned salmon? For me it’s the only one that doesn’t work. Never really liked it for some reason, and unless I’ve missed it nobody has mentioned it yet…

Lidl used to do herring in a mustard sauce. I haven’t seen them in a while now, but then I did stop looking. They were delicious!

Golf course or woodland or anything in between the deer will taste different depending on the season as they move from one food resource to the next. I let mine hang for a maximum of 7 days and then do all the butchery at once as it does lose its flavour if left any longer.

The only thing I dislike about mine is the shape of the hood. It finishes at the top of my head and the back is all stretched and pulling. Hard to describe but a bigger hood would suit me better personally.

Excellent bit of kit but I wouldn’t reccomend it for any kind of activity for the reason you mentioned. I took one to Canada last year and during the one rainstorm we had it held up well though we were just floating along on the river at that point.

Funnily enough I just finished handling a 6lb rounding pattern this week. Probably never going to use it but it’s taken pride of place on the workshop “axe wall”.
