As is fast becoming a tradition to me for Saturdays, i decided to get up at 0500 and go walkabout the farm to see what I can see...as well as cook up some breakfast, brew up, and zero the rifle.
Approaching an old poplar plantation I stumbled across this little fella at about...
Another bump for the aigle parcours! Had mine 5 years and love them. Probably wear them daily, even if it's just walking the dogs. Can use them to work the farm, stand on a shoot peg all day or yomp through the woods in them. You won't regret buying a pair!

+1!!! Imagine trying to regulate that!! Any old tom, dick and dirty-harry tootling around the woods with firearms - no thanks! Especially given that anybody can buy an air rifle and make it FAC-rated illegally.
Back to the Lynx - There have been calls for years to reintroduce apex predators...
I identified it as lords and ladies too...there were a few small purple patches on some of the leaves so that told me what i needed to know.
With regards wild cats...its a possibility but i have never seen any in the area and we have no neighbours whose pet moggies could prove to be the...
Hi all,
On the farm I have certain habitual rounds where I walk the dogs twice daily, always just bimbling along trying to take in as much as I can see from my surroundings. There us an old poplar plantation from the late 1700's which I sometimes pop into and to be honest I generally don't see...
Cheers guys...will get cracking with mark II when i get a chance. Ive got some old narrow aluminium c-section under my desk at work which is crying out to be turned into an ultra-light bow saw too. Theres something way more satisfying about working with wood though...
Ive been feeling the need to make a folding bow saw for a long time, but time pressures elsewhere mean im struggling to get out in the woods never mind able to sit down and actually put one together....
However had a spare 20 minutes (unheard of in my house/work/farm -life balance) and very...
Hi all,
Mods feel free to remove this if it's unacceptable, but just wanted to let people know that there is a BBM (available on android and apple) group for bushcraft goings on.
It's a useful "on the move" platform for you to get advice on plant ID if you're out and about, want to show off...
I think using the term "reality" show in this case is taking the biscuit...Started watching it but got frustrated at the lazy and those with a bad attitude...was amusing for all of 3 episodes...:lmao:
Cheers for the info guys. Its a 16" barrelled CZ452, and I live on the family farm so little need to worry about the public for the most part. I have since found a modular pack which is molle based, with compression this and sidepouch that...I will post pics when I have managed to put the...
great video looks like great day was had. love the soundtrack too very much reminds me of the style Skogniv does his videos in - I'll echo BR's comments, best video I've seen in a long time.
Hi all,
Im in the market for a new olive green (must be OG! I have a thing for OG) rucksack, generally around 35ltr, which I can carry both an axe as well as a .22LR rifle for extended days out.
Having had a brief scout on t'interweb I can't really find much, and i really don't have the time...
