    Billy Pots? Good, Bad, other?

Sounds like a Titanium 'cup' with a handle bail is probably a better way to go. As mentioned above, not having handles on the side of a Bill Pot is problematic. Aliexpress will deliver a ~750mL Ti cup/mug/pot like this for less money as well. I scored a good deal on a Boundless Voyage...

    French press obsession?

Amazon UK has dumped some products on my doorstep in Texas for a modest cost! Won't help with VAT but, at least that might cut the shipping cost some!

    Weber GoAnywhere BBQ

Yank here from Texas. I don't recall seeing side handles on the WGA's I have been around. They were all top handles so they were more compact when packed for travel. I'm not sure why I would want side handles on a small grill like this.

    Small pressure cooker?

I have been searching and Googling for the "pressure" cooker attachment in the Ti6300 "premium" set without success. ☹️

    Small pressure cooker?

Thanks! It is awesome, especially around Zion National Park where I camp as deer often come in at night to graze and greet me in the morning! Montanna "Speed Goats" (Pronghorn) are nice too but, never that close. Cooking Pintos at home, which is near the Texas coast (~3 hours away), is much...

    Weber GoAnywhere BBQ

Not even on Amazon UK? Amazon is where I generally look for PK Grills but, I can order direct if I want since I'm in the USA.

    Weber GoAnywhere BBQ

If you like that little Weber, be sure to check out PK Grills. I prefer them over the Weber for better low and slow smoking. The WGA though is a great for grilling! COVID and supply chain problems (inflation) sure have made them spendy these days! https://www.pkgrills.com/pkgo-w-flipkit/

    My new wood stove.

That really looks like a nice option for out here in Texas (USA).

    Billy Pots? Good, Bad, other?

The Soto WindMaster Stove with 4Flex Pot Support has made pretty thick oatmeal in my Titanium cup without scorching. I do need to stir it a little and use a reasonable flame level. If I don't stir at all, it will get a little over browned in the bottom. Your burner matters a lot more with Ti...

    Small pressure cooker?

A different bean is certainly a valid consideration but, growing up in Texas and Oklahoma, I have a strong affinity for Pinto beans, especially spicy ones with a bit of Mex/Tex-Mex spice, even better with some barbeque (real BBQ, not grilling ;)). Navy beans, which are more common in the...

    Small pressure cooker?

How are those Hawkins models? Good pressure cookers for the money?

    Crusader cup mk2

The Chinese Ti I have is a dead ringer for Snowpeak Ti which I have use for a long time. I would call this Chineseum crap because the tooling marks, seams, etc. are a dead ringer for Snowpeak equivalents. Since most Titanium comes from Russia and the manufacturing is in China, I feel these are...

    Small pressure cooker?

When camping, I like to fix beans for supper but I am starting to camp at modest altitudes where dry beans take many hours to cook even when pre-soaked for 12~24 hours. By modest altitudes, I'm talking about 3000~6000 feet (1,000~2,000m) not mountaineering altitudes! What is a good pressure...

    Billy Pots? Good, Bad, other?

I am wondering about Billy Pots and whether I should get one. And, if so, why one of them over something like a Titanium cup or pot. TIA, Sid

    Crusader cup mk2

How do these compare to one of the Titanium cups? I can get the Titanium cooking pots and mugs for a lot less than one of these cups so, I'm wondering what I'm missing. For those commenting about burned lips and such, the double wall Ti cups are awesome for coffee and tea! I should note that...

    Bushcraft Spain Oilskin Tarp

From Texas here! UPS into and out of the EU is terrible regarding fees. Their surcharges overwhelm the actual tax owed, at least it did in my case a few years ago. As I remember it, ~$15USD in tax was ~$130USD to UPS. Never used them again into or out of Europe. Those "handling" fees were...

Onetigris Hideout vs Night Protector with Snugpack Quilt/Cocoon?

I'm looking for an underquilt to go with a Hammock. Or possibly the Snugpak Hammock Cocoon but, it looks like it is narrow. Onetigris information is pretty sparse so, I'm wondering what is the real difference between the Hideout and Night Protector (3-season version). With these I would...

    Candle recommendations

Dietz "hurricane" kerosene lanterns are a bit bigger but, work well. You can adjust the wick for the amount of light you want. Kerosene has its drawbacks but, compared to candles might be a good option for some.

    Woodlore clones??

Like a Kephart, it is a great design and very useful. Sure, marketing and hype are there but, that doesn't take away from its usefulness and great overall design.

Sleipner or 14C28N in a Casström No.10 Swedish Forest knife

I am looking at buying a Casström No.10 Swedish Forest knife in Scandi grind from Lamnia. Are there good reasons to get one blade steel over the other? Is Sleipner going to be a lot stronger on the edge than the Sandvik option? Will Sleipner be a lot more apt to rust? Will one edge be more...
