The original run was limited to 7 pieces. They had a 4½” blade made from 4mm wide 01 carbon steel which is 30mm deep - this extra depth gave more substance to hang onto if you're holding the blade for doing point work. There is also a rounded flat section at the back of the blade for the thumb...
