Ive now got the 4 large blades ive been working on up to a usable finish for testing and all with their own scales
as i was swapping the set of the parang back and forth as they all have the same scale profile and with different spacer liners...
they can often deploy with them but a lot get confiscated when they fly home
Ive a few out on long term test in various Military units doing well so far and not been mentioned about size etc
This is a survival knife why because it was designed with and for some of the most trained and knowledgeable survival experts in the county (most are or where UK forces SERE survival instructors) as a knife they want to use and sell /recommend
But it definitely dosn't fit with the Normal...

there is no length limits on air weapons
the TDR is dsigned as a rifle so a rifle it is it can never be a pistol
if it is a pistol then it has to be sub 6ft lbs regardless of if a stock is fitted as it will always be a pistol

a basic small ish spring gun i would recommend a BSA XL Tactical as its plastic stock is easy to clean etc and tho not break down is not to big or heavy and tho spring takes a bit more to shoot well you dont need an expensive air cylinder to fill it when empty etc...
I think some of the old versions could be fired with stock off which isnt actually illegal as air guns have exemptions from length and its made as a rifle so is always a rifle But AA have put it in like anti tamper bolts (Alos not required by law) just to be Whiter than white PC Gov...
yes it would fall foul of the CJA wording so is classified as an offensive weapon and the restrictions that come with that
as long as you got it before they where entered on the list your ok to own
you cant legally even transport it in your car to a new house as its classified as public...
if you have permissions then no problem travelling between them you have good reason when in a public place (was the while hiking that throws the question ie lands end to J O Groats ;) )
if your on one then you can carry unpacked even on the foot paths as you have permission to be...
as long as you are on public rights of way and the rifle is correctly packed and you are moving to a location you have permission (Ie Good reason) to use your fine
