I first developed an interest in what I'd now call bushcraft in 1976 aged 12 after reading the book 'Survival for Young People' and making my first survival kit. This led on to reading Lofty Wiseman's SAS Survival Guide and eventually to Ray Mears' books & TV series. I've since been on four Woodlore courses and am a volunteer Wood Warden in my local National Nature Reserve.
