    Dad has an Idea....

just a thought - but you could do worse than a bell tent . plenty of room to stand up , dead easy to put up ( can do it alone in 15mins ) totally bombproof weather wise and you get all the benefits of sleeping under canvas - obviously the weight is an issue , and is only suited to car camping...

    any ferret keppers

some good advice on here mate - as to working them with dogs , you need to be very , very sure of your dog . have sadly lost ferrets in the past as a youngster , who was happy to believe his friend when he said that his dog was fine with ferrets :( brought my lurchers up from pups to be used to...

    Esk Muck Boots

couldn't agree with para106 more -they're cracking boots . good grip , very comfy and keep your feet warm even when static . have had all sorts over the years - last pair were le chameu chasseurs , which weren't a patch on the muck boots and cost more than 3 times as much

    Bell Tent

got my 4m bell tent from a company called canvas and cast . had plenty of tents over the years and this is by far the best - the quality is great , all wood and rope pegs and tighteners , ash centre pole - and you couldn't get any easier to put up of course it weighs alot , but i only use...

    New Woodlore Courses

blimey - £350 !!! am sure it'd be a great day out - my kids would be in heaven , but that's more than my holiday budget for the whole year - think i must be the poorest man on the forum lol . have noticed that anything vaguely realted to bushcraft attracts a premium price - shame really ...

Your oldest bit of kit that is still going strong?

some great gear coming out for me it's a buffalo shirt i got as a present when i joined up in 1990 - had some heavy duty use and abuse ( just about manage to slip into it - supposed to be figure hugging lol ) and a good old sigg bottle from the same year - wouldn't swap it

    Hyundi Santa Fe

that's pretty much what mine works out at mate like all things it's horses for courses - the 20% off roading ( farm tracks , grass and stubble fields ) is managed with no problem

    hello

just joined the forum and thought i'd say a quick hello to all members . i'm a 40 odd ex forces who has been dragged back into bushcrafty stuff by my ray/bear mad kids who regularly like me to accompany them on fun in the woods , and persuaded me to take them to this years wilderness gathering...
