    Deep heat

I've started running recently and as a big lad suffer pretty severe shin splints. The best treatment I have found for it so far is a cheap tube of morrisons muscle rub, smells pretty much the same as deep heat, but you have to be a little generous with it and it takes a while to actually start...

    Water in winter

Melting ice costs a considerable amount of fuel, if your not short of food calories to make up for the effort of getting to the water then preserving fuel is sometimes the more reasonable choice.

    Straw bale construction

Do a search for strawbales and grand designs on youtube, there are three or four builds that used them. My fdream house would me made from shipping containers and straw bales :p Sent from my HTC Dream using Tapatalk

Keeping your bum warm in a hammock!

Hammock forums is a little over whelming at first :p but a nice place. I've come to the conclusion that I actually need to get out in mine and try it before I try some of the more adventurous things like rerigging suspension and adding zips to my hh Sent from my HTC Dream using Tapatalk

    austrian army pack

Avoid the telescopics if you had consider getting from there. Their website appears to be so broke that it cant take orders, the web support is also broken and wont take tickets, and the telephone number on ther website rings out to a full mailbox.

    Candle lantern vs Jantern

I like it, the only thing I can see that might be an issue is in high winds blowing the candle out.

    Help Please - Sharpening

You would be right, the original edge I put on it was with this nasty contraption: and I felt the edge was too fine, so I've tried to bring it to a slightly steeper edge.
